Empowering Qatar's Youth: Qatar Scholarship Programme Welcomes 100 New Recipients

In a significant stride towards fostering education and empowerment among Qatar's youth, the Qatar Scholarship Programme recently unveiled 100 new scholarships. This announcement came during a prestigious event attended by key stakeholders including The Education Above All Foundation (EAA) and the General Directorate of Endowments (Awqaf).

The event not only showcased the unveiling of the new scholarships but also celebrated academic excellence. Thirty-six outstanding graduates were recognized, while 57 students were lauded for their scholarly achievements during the 2023 - 2024 academic year. With over 300 attendees, including students, families, faculty members from partner universities, institutions, and dignitaries from several embassies, the event truly exemplified the collaborative spirit driving Qatar's education initiatives.

The Qatar Scholarship Programme (QSQ) is dedicated to providing young people aged between 17 and 25, who have primarily grown up in Qatar, with access to higher education at Doha-based universities. These scholarships are need-based and are offered by the EAA Foundation, with support from the Waqf Bank for Scientific and Cultural Development at the General Directorate of Endowments. Additionally, the EAA collaborates with Silatech to bridge talented graduates to future employment opportunities, ensuring a holistic approach towards youth development.

This event not only celebrated the collaboration between the Education Above All Foundation, Awqaf, and participating universities but also highlighted the collective efforts aimed at empowering Qatar's youth. Through the support of Awqaf, the EAA continues to empower countless youth, nurturing a promising future for Qatar's emerging visionaries and innovators.

Since its establishment in 2018, the Qatar Scholarship Programme has been instrumental in providing more than 210 scholarships to youth in Qatar. Looking ahead, the program aims to extend its impact further by providing a total of 500 scholarships by the academic year 2025-2026, aligning with the state's budget spending priorities for 2024.
