Qatar attracts most FDI in ME and meets key partners

71% of all investments made in the Middle East came to Qatar in the second quarter of this year, according to the Investment Promotion Agency Qatar (IPA).

The report offers quarterly updates on trends in foreign direct investment (FDI) and tracks FDI flows globally and regionally using both internal and external data sources.


According to the report, a total of QAR 70.01 billion (USD 19.2 billion) worth of investments were made in the State of Qatar, which resulted in the creation of 6,680 employment across 11 projects. Software and IT, business services, financial services, coal, oil, and gas were the main industries.
